MAKOTO are now proud members of the German Wagyu Association (Deutscher Wagyu Verband), and we were happy to be in attendance at th 2nd ever annual European Wagyu Gala at Hof Holtmann in the Münsterland. Melanie and Reinhard Holtmann were the gracious hosts of this amazing event, along with Dr. Hubertus Diers of PrismaGen Wagyu Genetics. The highlights of the weekend included a wagyu-inspired menu at the Gala Dinner on the Friday night, demonstrations by chefs Lucki Maurer, Xiao Wang, and Bjorn Freitag, and of course the auction on the Saturday at which 43 beautiful full-blood heifers, bulls, and oxen were presented. An incredible experience and perfect networking platform for a blossoming market. Exciting times are ahead!
